Useful Idiot: Lee Hae-hak

You have got to love the irony of this South Korean delegation complaining about “past inhumane crimes and agression” by Japan while visiting North Korea:

“The international community is in the midst of change and a number of countries are reflecting on their past inhumane crimes and aggression,” said Lee Hae-hak, a Christian pastor and a former democracy activist who headed the South Korean group.

“Only Japan is going in reverse,” Lee, who also honors South Korean group fighting against Japan’s Yasukuni war shrine seen by Asian neighbors as a symbol of its militarism because it honors convicted war criminals, told the Pyongyang seminar.  [Reuters via JapanProbe]

For anyone that doesn’t catch the irony, the North Koreans are responsible for killing more South Koreans during the Korean War then Japanese killed during the occupation of the Korean peninsula.  Additionally the North Koreans continue to kill South Koreans to this very day with the latest being the shooting of an unarmed South Korean tourist walking on the beach.

It is even more ironic that the leader of this delegation Lee Hae-hak is a pastor complaining about Japan in a country where freedom of religion is outlawed.  Because of this Lee Hae-hak is without a doubt just another North Korean useful idiot.

    Re “Jack KIM” …

Oh please, read the whole article, and it’s clear that the writer Jack Kim, while reporting the facts, signals that he knows what NK and the u. idiots are up to. E.g.

North Korea’s official media and several leading politicians in South Korea seldom miss the chance to criticize Japan for failing to pay what they see as proper contrition for its colonial rule that included forced labor, front-line brothels and attempts to end the Korean language.

Note the phrases “Seldom miss the chance” and “what they see as,” implying that the criticism is (or may be) mindless and spurious.

I agree with Robert Kim here. Painting Japan in a negative light is Korean sport. This Jack Kim is a NK useful idiot. Who else but a Korean crony would bring up “dok”. (its not an island)

“But when it came to the need to protect them from the evil colonial hands of Japan, no one was in dispute”

Kyopos spin the story to meet their anti-Japanese message.
