Here is an AFN report on Air Force’s dog handlers that operate at Kunsan Airbase:

It seems like this would actually be a pretty good job to have for a young airman in the Air Force.

    If I remember correctly all the dogs that served in Vietnam were destroyed and some of the dogs used in Iraq were too, though there is some effort to "rehabilitate" some of the dogs so they may be adopted by civilians.
