Many visitors are enjoying barehanded fishing and ice fishing at the 7th Trout Festival in Hwacheon, Gangwon Province. Over the weekend, some 200-thousand people took part in the event. The Trout Festival will end on January 27th. (Yonhap News)
This is something I definitely want to check out the next time I am in Korea. It looks like fun.

You should definitely go if you get the chance. I went there last year and it was a lot of fun. You can even cook the fish you catch right there on shore on one of the many charcoal grills located there. Plus there are plenty of food stands there with some great chow. Even if you don't get into the ice fishing so much, there are slides, ice skating and other activities as well. All in all, it's a pretty good time.
