Over at the Hub of Sparkle they have started The Golden Klog Awards to recognize the top blogs and postings from Korea. Someone was nice enough to nominate this blog in the Best K-Blog category along with a few other categories in the contest.
The only category I would like to lobby readers to vote for the ROK Drop for is in the Best Post or Series In A K-Blog. The posting that was nominated was the, GI Myths: The 2002 Armored Vehicle Accident, that covered in great detail what really happened in June 2002 when two Korean girls Shim Mi-son and Shin Hyo-sun were killed in that tragic accident. The Korean Internet and media reaction to the tragedy has long continued to drive many false narratives from that day. That posting is one of the more important ones I have done on the ROK Drop and I think it is imperative to get as many people as possible to read it and this contest is another way to do just that.
That is the end of my lobbying effort, so feel free to go and check it out and vote if it interests you.

Hi, GI Korea. That's why I chose that one as the ROK Drop nominee for best post. I also liked your Why do GIs Complain series, and your Weekly Linklets were one of the most reliable distillations of only the best of the East Asia blogs, but the Incident Post took the cake.Good luck.
