The first court martial results of 2009 are now posted on the USFK webpage. The first month of the year did not start out good for the 1-72AR regiment which had three of the five court martial cases this month.
In the ROK criminal cases there was a lot of fights that were tried plus two more DUI’s. That now makes 26 DUI’s in 22 months. Anyway here are the full results:

OK, not so sure the assault cases bother me in combat units, as much as rape and burglery or sexual harrasment. But then again, I voted Republican.

I profile soldiers doing the right thing all the time. I have an entire category dedicated to them:

Also there is the ROK Drop Forums now available where anyone can post about soldiers doing the right thing in Korea:

I post the court martial results because the USFK webpage deletes them every month. I use these results to compile my crime stats in order to write postings such as this:

This posting has gone a long way to dispelling the belief of out of control GI crime in Korea.
If anyone knows of a good news story feel free to leave it over at the forum or send me a link by email and I will post it.

GI, I know you are doing a duty to post it, but this kind of article really hurts me because I know of so many great Americans who selflessly serve their country each and every day and they should be the ones highlighted. Keep the Results, but I would love it if you made a link where we could nominate a great Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine or civilian who has ever served in Korea in the past or present. I know you’ve got the past heroes, but what about the present day. The write up could include a short story as to what makes these guys so great.

The posting hasn't gone a long way towards dispelling anything. Dispelling will only come once your posts are read and absorbed by the many who believe otherwise, which won't likely happen any time soon. The readers of your blog are like-minded with you, for the most part.
