Japan Wins WBC Championship Over Korea, Is Korean Nationalism to Blame for the Loss?

By now everyone should have heard that Japan won the World Baseball Classic final over Korea 5-3 in extra innings.  I was at the airport and just before boarding I was watching the intense pitching duel to Ichiro Suzuki and was thinking to myself why in the world was the Korean manager having his pitcher pitch to him with first base open and two outs?  Just about everyone else in the bar was wondering the same thing and sure enough Ichiro hit home the winning runs of the game.

Well via the Marmot’s Hole comes this thought provoking conclusion, did Korean nationalism cost the Korean baseball team the WBC Championship?

Like a said before – baseball is a thinking man’s game – I guess Japan outthunk Korea – better yet – Korea failed to think.

Wow.. using a pitch in a ball game and pinning it on the “typical Korean” stereotype to whip up the anti Korean bashing in the expat community. Unbelievable.

How about I surmise why Americans didn’t so well in WBC? It’s only fair because that’s what Americans do to Koreans all the time.

About the US team.. why did they suck in WBC?
Because they were all bunch of cheating drugged up pre-madonas who only care about themselves and their money? Hell with the game, hell with the fans, I’m going to get my share of the loot and that’s all there is to it.

No wonder the US is a morally and financially bankrupt nation. No wonder.

    Wow Tom,
You sure are “thin Skin. Have you had a significant emotional event that makes you go quickly into a defensive mode? If you read my earlier post you may not have reacted so negative.

“No wonder the US is a morally and financially bankrupt nation.” Bankrupt mabey, still as moral as any nation.

#2 America is more financially bankrupt than Korea? Really, the moon is now the sun?

Listener, the only difference between Korea and the US is that the US can print money limitlessly because the American currency is a reserve currency. That’s the only saving grace why you haven’t economically collapsed yet. You can just print money out of thin air and take on more Chinese debt, and that’s your wealth or lack there of.
Korea doesn’t have that luxury but their foreign debt rate to asset ratio is far better than yours. US is a bankrupt nation living off of their parent’s generation. But pretty soon, you will have to answer to your new masters, the Chinese who are going to want their money back soon. By then, you will need to come up with the money or no more two car garage houses and SUV’s.

I haven’t seen many two car garage homes being built lately – mostly three and some four. Probably why the sub prime crisis hit – people buying more house than they need or can afford.

Tom is a chucklehead. He is using the same arguement every Korean will use when you say something (even mildly) negative about Korea: “You too.” Them go straight into an attack that has nothing at all to do with the post. “pre-madonas.” That is my favorite part. Does this mean that they predate the Like a Virgin album? Retard
