By Via One Free Korea comes this PBS video depicting life for North Korean defector children in South Korea:
It is a tear jerker to think that this girl’s parents gave everything they had to smuggle their daughter to South Korea for a chance at a better life.
People tend to underestimate the power of the propaganda within North Korea, but it was interesting to see the young North Korean girl state that she thought that:
South Korea was a country where the Americans were in power, massacring and robbing anyone they pleased.
Just more reason why we should be fighting the information war within North Korea.

Typical Soviet style learning. The former Soviet Union exported this type of teaching to their friends. Make the populace believe that American’s are so very bad and you keep the masses in line.
I am glad she got away, her parents gave her a chance for a much better life in the South.
