It looks like the South Koreans are about to show Kim Jong-il how to put a rocket into space:
The nation’s first rocket is being test-loaded on the launch pad at the Naro Space Center in Goheung, South Jeolla Province.
The launch date is scheduled for late July.
The Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) said, it will check the parts of the space launch vehicle KSLV-1 and test its fueling process for the next two months.
The KSLV-1 is a two-stage rocket that weighs 140 tons. It is 33-point-five meters long and the diameter is two-point-nine meters. The payload will be a domestically developed satellite. [KBS Global]
This is just another event in the on going Northeast Asian space race.
