More USFK soldiers doing the right thing:

US 2ID servicemembers who wanted to take part in volunteer activities visited ‘After-school Academy’ at the Education and Culture Center for Youths in Pochun City March 31st and AFN Korea staff personnel accompanied them to have coverage on the volunteer program.

Before embarking upon volunteer activities, servicemembers had time to listen to an explanation on the ‘After-school Academy’ project, gain diverse information though a tour around the Center’s facilities and exchange greetings with attending kids. Especially, in order to get familiar faster with the kids, volunteering servicemembers introduced themselves in English. The servicemembers and the kids had arm-wrestling to get used to each others’ faces, and played board games and soccer. All these ‘sure start’ activities gave servicemembers opportunities to run following volunteer activities smoothly.

US 2ID servicemembers, who visited the Center, promised to support diverse activities with their bests so that Korean youths can find ‘dreams and hopes’ in state-of-the-art facilities of the Center and in this space of activities composed solely for these youths.  [USFK]
