Park Chan-ho Pitches Shut Out for Six Innings

It looks like Park Chan-ho can still pitch some good baseball when he is healthy:

South Korea’s Park Chan-ho put together a stellar pitching performance for the Philadelphia Phillies in Major League Baseball on Wednesday ? but a lack of run support robbed him of his first win.

The right-hander allowed just one hit in six shutout innings against the New York Mets at Citi Field, but the Phillies couldn’t get anything going against Mets ace Johan Santana in a 1-0 loss.

Park fanned five Mets batters, walked one and also hit one batter.

Park’s performance is expected to maintain a spot in the Phillies’ rotation, according to the team’s Web site.  [Korea Times]

The injuries hurt his career, but it still seems to me he had a typical down slide many pro athletes have after gaining the big bucks early.
