USFK Volunteers Recognized On Teacher’s Day

More USFK soldiers making a positive difference in Korea:

In the afternoon May 14th at Itaewon, a US servicemember and a KATUSA soldier are wearing a carnation on their chests. Carnations were given by students of the free USFK English class in celebration of the upcoming Teacher’s Day in Korea.  [Yonhap]

It is good to see that Yonhap News published this bit of information.  Yonhap has actually been publishing more of the USFK Good Neighbor events lately.  I don’t know if this is the product of a the Lee government making them do it or just great PAO work?  For whatever reason it is happening it is good to see.

It is nice to see. My son participated in that program when he was stationed here. He figured it would be "easy" since all he had to do is ask "Mom" for help, since I am an English teacher here. He was right, smile.
