It is good to see that this rapist is off the streets:
Dongducheon police said a man is in custody in connection with the alleged attempted rape of a U.S. Army officer’s wife last month.
An illegal immigrant from Nigeria was arrested hours after the alleged attack, and it is not yet known whether he will be tried prior to being deported, a Korean police official said.
According to reports, late last month the woman was dragged off a Bosandong street to the man’s apartment, where he tried to rape her. She succeeded in escaping out the front door before the act took place, police said.
The woman was not injured in the incident.
Police arrested the man hours later after interviewing neighbors and reviewing footage from a video camera in the area of the abduction. The suspect became violent when confronted about the attack, and one police officer was slightly injured while making the arrest.
Attempts to reach an Army official familiar with the incident were unsuccessful. [Stars & Stripes]
What I find interesting about this is that they are considering deporting the man instead of trying him. If a GI tried to rape a Korean do you think they would just give him the option of going home? Then again if they do just deport the guy that would be more punishment then when Koreans rape female US soldiers.
