  OK, I'll comment since no one else has. I live in SW Florida. (the gulf coast) 15 minutes from three beautiful (large) beaches with few people. Thirty minutes from perhaps ten beaches with few people even during the tourist season. The water temp right now is 88deg F.

  Glad they at least get to go to the beach.

  Oh my goodness! I went to this beach last week and there was only 2 people on the entire beach – it was beautiful! Looking at this picture… I don’t think I will go there in the middle of summer time on the weekend – that’s for sure!!

  Anyone notice how the people in this shot are to a great extent wearing street clothes not beach attire? Also notice how a great percentage of people are standing facing towards the water. Lastly, notice how few people are in the water, and few who are seem to be in street clothes?

  some Looks to me like a bunch of spectators watching some sort of event, not a typical day at the beach.
