Would be cool although since we've scrapped the OICW program bringing this over would be a hit on our pride I think. Looks pretty cool and I can understand the size of the scope is because of all the stuff in there but does it seem like the butt is unusually, and uncomfortably long? My arms would be so tired holding the gun so far away from my body, and for that matter I'm not sure if I would even be able to reach the front portion of the gun with my stubby arms when using it.

To mere subjects -er- I mean CITIZENS, yes. Only the elite professionals in their law enforcement and military establishments are permitted to touch the evil things, at the behest of their handlers, from time to time.

...oh yeah- most importantly- more RANGE TIME and good shooter training. What we have now barely checks the block, and gee whiz gadgets are not going to help Joe put his rounds where he needs to.

It's too much like the OICW we decided not to take a few years back.

How about adopting a piston driven variant of the M4 in a better caliber (although a new caliber would necessitate development of completely new ammo- ball, tracer, incendiary, etc). There are already variants out there but the politics involved are amazing...
