A Canadian in his twenties hit the jackpot worth 190 million won (about $160,000) on Sunday at the Gangnam branch of the Seven Luck Casino.

This is the second jackpot at this branch of the foreigners-only casino, following last December when a New Zealander won some 188 million won.

At around 6 p.m. the winner hit the “Mystery Jackpot Level1″ that collects all the accumulated money from 112 installed slot machines, casino officials said. Minus tax, the man went home with some 149 million won.  [Korea Herald]

Here is the website to Seven Luck Casino and it doesn’t mention anything about the jackpot, which you would think they would want to publicize.  Anyway Extra Korea! makes a good observation in regards to this jackpot and  the foreigners that were arrested for playing poker in their apartment and were labeled a “gambling crime ring” by the media.
