Via a reader tip comes news of Korean human traffickers busted in the Phillipines:
The Task Force Against Illegal Recruitment rescued 14 Filipino women from suspected South Korean human traffickers and illegal recruiters in two separate operations in Pampanga and Nueva Ecija recently.
Vice President Noli de Castro, task force head, said on Saturday that four suspected traffickers were arrested and taken to the TFAIR office in Camp Crame, Quezon City for interrogation and for filing of charges.
He identified the South Koreans as Yusuk Jeung a.k.a. Ricky Jung, Jong Wook Song a.k.a. Ivan, Youn Seok Jang a.k.a. Elvin Jang and Bokdool Shinaka Rich Shin. All entered the country as tourists but were caught recruiting people for work.
De Castro said the rescue operation was conducted last July 20 at Seville St., Premavera Homes, Aduas Norte, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija where the women were found training for work as dancers and entertainers in South Korea
