Via a reader tip comes this news that the Chinese embassy in South Korea continues to sponsor violence against Korean citizens within Korea:
This rally and parade in Ansan, Korea on Sunday commemorates the more than 60 million Chinese people who have renounced their current or former membership in the Chinese Communist Party. Participants include people who practice Falun Gong meditation, as well as human rights and democracy activists.
But not surprisingly, it made Chinas communist regime unhappy.
Witnesses say a group of men connected with the Chinese Embassy started causing trouble. They hurled insults, destroyed banners, and even assaulted the rallys participants.
This womans leg was severely hurt and her clothes were torn.
[Mrs. Lee, Attack Victim]:
Suddenly one man punched me with both of his fists. And then pushed me.The attackers also injured two other Koreans. One of them, Dr. Jung, was an organizer of the event.
[Dr. Kitae Jung, Attack Victim & Event Organizer]:
They didnt just hit my face or other sensitive parts, but they punched me in the chest where its hard to see the damage. It seems that theyre well trained.Dr. Jung has been given three weeks leave from work to recover. He and Mrs. Lee will now seek legal action against the men who assaulted them.
A witness told the Epoch Times they heard one of the violent Chinese men saying, Dont worry. The Chinese Embassy is supporting us. The Korean police are nothing.
Three Chinese men from the mob were arrested. According to one of the victims who was inside the police station at the time, one of the men arrested said, I dont mind being sent back to China. Call the Chinese Embassy.
The incident is similar to a series of attacks in New York City in the summer of 2008. The men who were later shown to be connected with the New York Chinese consulate attacked people supporting the local Quit CCP Service Center in Flushing—a place where locals go to renounce their membership in the Chinese Communist Party.
At what point will it take the South Korean government to do something about the Chinese embassy meddling in a Korean domestic issue as well as sponsoring violence against Koreans? This is ridiculous and we all know what the Korean reaction would be if the US embassy was sponsoring violence against Koreans.

"Dr. Jung has been given three weeks leave from work to recover."
I never could understand why it's always 3 weeks in Korea. Something to do with the law when you're suing someone?

Was there any coverage of this in the South Korean media? No, not even the "conservative" South Korea media. They're all afraid of China.

The time to recover (usually in a hospital) of X weeks is or was part of the law concerning monetary settlement.
What I wonder is — with cellphones and activist websites using multi-media, something South Korean society has been WAY ahead of most of the rest of the world – thanks to PC Bangs and broadban access — where are the videos on this? Why aren't there more? Are there more on the popular netizen and Korean websurfer sites?

When the Chinese "students" attacked the anti-NK protestors during the Olympic Flame events in Seoul in 2008, very little was said by the South Korean media about the involvement of the Chinese government, even though it was all well-organized. They were even wearing the same red t-shirts!

This is more proof that the US is wasting their time supporting South Korea as it’s obvious the Koreans are allowing the Chinese to run roughshod over them in return for any myriad of special favors.
