Picture of the Day: Blame the Republicans

» by in: Journalism

Via the Korea Times.

I just love how Republicans are still blamed for everything even though the Democrats have filibuster proof majorities in the Congress and could pass anything they want.  Why isn’t a donkey sitting on this guy instead of an elephant?

Actually, the fillibuster proof majority is only in the house. They 3 senators shy in the senate.

Organizing democrats is like herding cats. There is no party cohesion. There is even less now with Bush gone and no central figure to focus anger and criticism.

Nothing is getting done because the democrats fight the most with themselves. But isn't the government doing nothing what the Republicans want anyways?

The house doesn't fillibuster, at least not for about 150+ years.

58 Dems + two I's who caucus with the dems= filibuster proof senate, for everything but rule changes.

Being an independent libertarian I find it very funny to watch both sides of the political spectrum go at each other.

But they are right, during the Bush erra the Republicans threatened a filibuster every week on almost every piece of legislation. Bush himself threatened veto on anything he didn't agree with personally.

That is the reason so many Democrats are pissed at the Republican's, because of how they acted. And even now, with the Rep's being the minority, their refusing (as a collective party) to work with most of the Dem's. It's become a "if we can't do it our way then we're taking our ball and going home".

As much tree-hugging / whining as they Dem's are, at least they don't do crap like that.
