Is Chemical Castration the Answer to Sex Crimes In Korea?

There has been much recent attention in Korea in regards to child sex crimes and here is a suggestion that seems like would be a good deterent to such a crime:

The “hot potato” in the National Assembly’s inspection of the government is the Na-yeong Case.

Several Assembly members strongly rebuked the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s lukewarm attitude to the case, and said the Ministry must actively promote policies to deal with the high danger of sex crimes against children.

Grand National Party Rep. Shin Sang-jin is proposing what is known as chemical castration, which eliminates sexual desire through regular doses of pharmaceuticals.

“Terrible criminals like the one in the Na-yeong Case should be chemically castrated. Canada is doing it, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare should be taking a look at it.”  [Korea Beat]

Does anyone know how well this chemical castration is working in Canada?

What is wrong with actual castration? This guy used his penis to torture an 8 year old girl in the bathroom of a church. He has used it multiple times to assault and rape multiple people. I think we would be doing him and society a favor if we relieved him of the burden of carrying it around.

I understand the ethical dilemma of eugenics and taking away reproductive rights. So maybe this should just be used for convicted, repeat sexual offenders.

Does anyone think this guy should be allowed to have children once he gets out?

What ethical dillema? Breeding is a privilege not a right; and in an overcrowded planet with the competition for resources creating ever more deadly small wars, restricting breeding will go along way to restoring some balance.

Take your pick: constant brutal wars with ever increasing government regulation or voluntary reduction in population growth and increased freedoms due to space between potential combatants.

Mandatory sex change operations would help. Whack his wee wee, and inflate his chest along with long term hormone therapy. Then send him to Thailand.

I'm all for using two heavy rocks, but I really don't think castration would solve anything without psychiatric help.

Funny how ONLY NOW people seem to agree with me about the problem with perverts and the gay agenda.
