I’m sure some of will find these statistics of interest:
Korea ranked ninth in the world in carbon dioxide emissions in 2007, according to a new report by the International Energy Agency.
Korea ranked sixth in carbon dioxide emissions among OECD member nations, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy reported yesterday, based on the IEA’s World Energy Outlook, which will be released next month.
Korea recorded a rate of 488.7 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions in 2007, up from 476.5 million tons the previous year. The total carbon dioxide emissions for all 30 member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development was 13 billion tons the same year, when the amount of carbon emissions in the world was 28.9 billion tons.
According to the report, China topped the list for carbon dioxide emissions at 6 billion tons in 2007, followed by the U.S. with 5.7 billion tons. Russia, India, Japan, Germany, Canada and Great Britain were next on the list in front of Korea.
Meanwhile, Korea saw its carbon dioxide emissions grow 113 percent between 1990 and 2007, the biggest increase among all OECD member countries. The rate for carbon emissions in the world increased 38 percent in the same period. [Joong Ang Ilbo]
What is ironic about this is that despite all this carbon being released the world is refusing to warm.

Well, increased CO2 output means that there's economic activity worth mentioning going on.
That's better than what's going on back here in the USA; the Prez had the nerve to boast that America's 'emissions' had gone down during the first 9 months of his administration.
Heck, it only took throwing 6+ million people out of work.
If that's progress, I'll take vanilla, thank you very much.
PS-climate 'change' [by human activity] is a crock.
