    Obviously warm weather. 1st Marine division in 1951 pushed to recover Kansas and Wyoming lines. Beginning of the battle of the punchbowl.

    Beautiful picture…With that said, this is an interesting example of how religion and political ideology are often mixed. Gotta get those godless reds, right?

    …Not that I think that's what the soldier was thinking about that when the picture was taken. But, I'm sure that's how many civilians would have perceived the picture if it was published in those days.
