I have had PLENTY of discussions with Moslems on Christianity- and vice versa- but only because one side of the discussion ASKED QUESTIONS about the other- neither side ATTACKED each other. That's a damn good start.

Anyone WILL have a hard time no matter where he goes if he's the 'odd guy out' and tries to FORCE people to accept him and his beliefs.

Most Americans- and normal people anywhere- just want to be left the hell alone to get on with their lives.

Most of the Moslems who came to America in the 19th and 20th century quickly figured out that to not be looked at as 'funny' and get chased out of town out of fear or ignorance (it's on both sides of these discussions) that they would have to adopt some of the ways and styles of their adopted land. Most did quite well. They kept their families and ethnic ties, but in a few generations, those families spoke English primarily and likely none of their ancestral language (a shame, but there are only 24 hours in a day- you have to make a living).

Culture and diversity are fascinating and do add a LOT to the great USA- but that also requires that we all have the same basic goals of living and working together as neighbors. There is some give and take- you won't like the bells from the Church ringing early on Sunday, perhaps, and I can sure as hell do without the call to prayer outside my window on speakers 5 times a day. That's where people work out differences.

When some nut sack pulls a gun, shouts religious stuff, and starts blasting, expect some pissed off people.

Some people(s) are never going to get along with other people(s). But some of the people of those people(s) CAN look past all that, and make OK neighbors.
