Just for a good laugh I bring you North Korea’s Central News Agency report on the recent test firing of an AEGIS SM-3 missile between the US and Japan:
Recently the U.S. forces test-fired SM-3 together with the Japan Maritime “Self-Defence Force” in the sea off Hawaii under the pretext of coping with the “missile threat” from someone.
Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in a signed commentary in this regard:The recent test-fire conducted by the U.S. forces was obviously a revelation of their scenario for mounting a preemptive attack on the DPRK. This once again clearly indicates that the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK has not changed at all.
The above-said test-fire brought to light the U.S. criminal intention to justify its moves to build a missile shield and put into practice the scenario for mounting a preemptive attack on the DPRK by branding it as a “criminal posing a missile threat.”
The U.S. worked out the above-said scenario long ago and has watched for a chance to implement it.
It is the calculation of the U.S. imperialists that they can mount a preemptive attack on the DPRK, while watching for a chance, in a bid to put the whole of Korea under their control and turn Asia into a strategic base for establishing a military domination and control over it.
What should not be overlooked is the fact that the U.S. bellicose forces are escalating the moves to develop a new type missile in collusion with the Japanese reactionaries. It is the invariable design of the U.S. to make Japan serve the purpose of its policy of aggression towards the DPRK.
The U.S. bellicose forces’ reckless military moves against the DPRK are straining the situation in Northeast Asia and creating a touch-and-go situation on the Korean Peninsula.
They had better behave prudently, bearing in mind that their adventurous scenario for a preemptive attack on the DPRK is nothing but a foolish one bringing them self-destruction. [KCNA]
The guys who write this stuff must be drinking a lot soju.

The KNCA quoting a North Korean newspaper to confirm North Korean propaganda? No, that’s not a cognitive bias at all.

Counting down the days until the curtain falls in the emerald city of Pyongyang and the people of the DPRK see that the their wizard is just a fun fair con man.

North Korea need never worry about the SM3. It is too high tech and would probobly never be used against them due to cost.
The North has sunk so far militarily, that any number of foreign /US missles would be more then adequate.

There won’t be another Korean War. North Korea knows that everything it has of strategic importance is known, targeted, and easily taken out by the South Korean military.
Their nuclear weapons program doesn’t change that. It simply buys them a bit of time. But, it’s inevitable that the dictatorship will come to an end. They all do.
