Matt over at Popular Gusts has a couple of great posts up about the continuing AIDS testing of English teachers in Korea along with updates on the complaint made to Naver in regards to Anti-English Spectrum:
As usual from Matt both are good reads. What I find most interesting about this is that this issue is a perfect example of how the Korean media, this time the Korea Times instead of reporting the news is instead trying to make the news. Once again its the KT’s Kang Shin-who has a long list of fraudulent stories such as intentionally misquoting the President of the Seoul National Univesity of Education who is intentionally writing a misleading article. He is also implying in his article that the Anti-English Spectrum types should be out hunting down Ms. Vandom. Is there any more evidence people need that the KT is nothing more than a Korean version of the National Enquier?
You can read more on this issue from Brian in Jeollanam-do and the Marmot.

And koreans like Tom criticise the US media.
I knew when I saw the cartoon of three SE Asain males with one of them holding a knife chasing a korean girl down that the korean media was shit. But koreans, in general seem to have no problems with such things. I though the media in the US and elsewhere was bad.
If koreans were portrayed in such a way, they would be out in the streets protesting like korean rice farmers.
But according to some I live in the “fifth dimension” so obviously I’m wrong about it all aren’t I?
