By Is the Philippines government on the verge of actually doing something about the plethora of Filipina juicy girls in Korea?:
Philippine women would no longer be allowed to work in South Korean “juicy bars” — where prostitution is often a byproduct — if Philippine Embassy officials’ efforts to tighten up immigration regulations succeed.
Embassy labor attache Delmer Cruz said he hopes that by the first quarter of 2010 women from his country will be prohibited from employment as “hospitality workers … at bars in the vicinity of U.S. bases or near the sea ports.”
He hinted in September that changes could be on the way that might affect the juicy bar industry, but in recent days he revealed that “high-level measures” are being discussed and a further crackdown on Filipinas traveling to South Korea is in the offing. He stressed that a number of agencies and officials still have to reach a consensus before any additional steps are taken in that direction.
“Our objective is to send only true entertainers and performing artists who work in decent places and provide wholesome entertainment … in five-star hotels, classy restaurants, cruise ships, amusement and entertainment centers,” he said. “We don’t really consider the juicy girls as the kinds of entertainers we’d like to send for employment abroad.” [Stars & Stripes]
So in other words the Phillippines government only wants to whore out their women to rich Koreans and not in sleazy juicy bars. That is fine with me because I have been saying this for years that the juicy bars that employ third country nationals should be put off limits.

I seriously doubt that things will change…the people involved (both in Korea and the PI) are making a lot of money from this business. It’s just a matter of paying enough in bribe money – and everything will remain business as usual.

I’m not a defender of prostitution but I think it is impossible to separate soldiers from prostitutes.
The soldiers are young, they are far away from home and can´t date korean girls, so …. they need the Philippine girls for the sake of their mental health. I know what is like to be a single away from home and alone.
I’m afraid that without these girls sexual crimes committed by soldiers will rise in Korea.
Keep the girls there. They have an important role in keeping the soldiers calm and out of troubles.

Often they do. But it is not something the korean girls would want their
family to know about, in most cases. So the answer is yes, it is TABOO.
Koreans can be some of the most racist of groups. The males more so than the females. I do not mean to say “ALL” of them, as nothing is 100%, but a large number.
Again, it will depend on the situation. I’ve had korean men introduce me to korean women. But it is rare.
GENERALLY speaking, it is TABOO for a “good” korean woman to hang out with NON-korean males.
Korean males have come up to my korean female friend and said thinks in hongul to them, that were not very nice, thinking I would not understand.

Yeah! And a few weeks later after demonstrating both skill and enthusiasm in the sack with a big nose, she’ll run off and get married to some Korean guy, per cultural expectations.
Then she stops the performances for anyone and turns into an angry shrew. After pumping out a few kids, and ignoring her spouse/being ignored by her spouse, she may demonstrate a desperate need for attention to younger men- even terrible FOREIGN younger men- and she will go back to the paying for dinner and yogwan routine.
Of course, the women here are all nuckin’ futs, but maybe that’s ALL women… I feel bad for the Korean guys and have bought more than of them one a cold lager. They’re stuck, poor sods.

We started talking about Philippina prostitutes here but suddenly switched to Korean women and you say that we are talking about “ladies around camp town”??? ….. sure, that’s obviously how some foreigners see Korean women in Korea. Isn’t the reason why most Korean women avoid foreigners in Korea?
Now I can’t tell you about my sexual experiences with American women because I had few contacts with American women in my life and except for one, none of them inspired me sexually or made me desire them in my bed. Jessica was the exception, maybe because she was different from the average American woman, since she didn’t need make up to look pretty and she was thin.
I could tell you about my sexual experiences with Brazilian girls, since I live in Brazil, but I will refrain myself from doing so because this is something personal and I don’t feel like I have to talk about this issue in public to prove something to you. Different from Americans, some people around the world don’t take sex as a competition or feel compelled to talk about this matter in public as a proof of their virility.
So she paid the bill?? Did she also send flowers to you the next day as a sing of her appreciation for the wonderful moment you had together the last night? Lovely, she was a perfect gentleman.

The girls around the bases have it easy compared to the other places they could work in Korea. You go to the non-US bars near the ports and the drinks are still 10,000 won, but they are actually alcoholic. No juicy there. And, if you pay mamasan she lets you take a girl in the room, willing or not, and locks the door. Unlike the girls that wander the streets of Osan and Hump at lunch, the girls at the ports are locked in the house with ‘body guards’ and cameras all day.
I do agree, get rid of the TCNs in the U.S. bars. At least the U.S. can’t then be blamed for the issues.
An entertainment visa should be for bands, not for individuals. There will still be gray areas: You could go to the Roadhouse in Osan and see the band. All of the girls drinking juicys before playing and during breaks, with the male drummer and keyboard as DJ and bartender. But, at least they get to play I guess.

What’s strikes me the most in the picture posted above is the contrast between the body language of the two slim girls on the left (hiding their faces from the camera in a rather unsubtle manner) with that of the bigger girl on the right (she sure loves that camera).

Okay, Ive heard about the Filipina hooker thing before. But why is this so? When I was in Korea (1991 – 1992) all the juicy girls I saw were Korean! There were two Filipina dancing girls who performed at the Uijongbu NCO Club. I talked with both of them on a few occasions. They were very sweet and beautiful girls, but I never got the vibe their services were for sale.

Chris, South Korea grew up into one of the worlds leading economies. Thus, the bar owners could no longer entrap Korean girls to work in their shitty clubs for little to no pay. Those Korean juicy girls were usually poor girls from the country with little or no prospects in life. Finding a young girl like that in the ville is like finding a needle in a haystack.
Soooo, the Koreans have now resorted to HUMAN TRAFFICKING. Earlier in this decade they TRAFFICKED both Russian and Filipina girls but now it’s only Filipinas.
Oh, by the way. Those poor Korean juicy girls from the country are still around in the villes. Since all they ever knew was the sleazy club life they now own dozens of much smaller bars where they hustle young GI’s for ten dollar juicys. Yeah, they are 40ish and ugly and wear a lot of makeup but there’s always a dumb enough GI or contractor that will pay..and pay. It never ends.

Korean drinkies in the USA all have a sad sob story about how their American husband was bad to them, blah blah blah….
Filipinas might be born liars too, but damned if they don’t at LEAST pretend to be nice, at work or “off duty”. If you aren’t careful you might even think that they like you. At that point, smack yourself and slow down the Red Horse.
Korean broads are all business, with a rare veneer of humanity when they are looking to chisel, cheat, or swindle. No thanks. They are indeed probably THE best looking ladies in the Far East but the lack of personality, palpable insecurity/lack of any self esteem, and general lack of humanity makes them prime candidates for employment in the glass houses. I couldn’t find it in me to feel sorry for any of them. Ever.

Ah Junior, I think you’re being too hard on Korean girls. Not saying you’re totally wrong, but I think this is more a function of Koreans acting like dicks to outsiders until they decide to let someone into their circle. From my experience, Korean females can be the kindest, sweetest and most loyal friends/girlfriends/finacees/wives once they have warmed up to you. And that goes for the hookers too though they are harder nuts to crack for obvious reasons.
