It would be ironic if the skating rink was at a hotel named after a certain American general who died when his jeep skidded on an icy road and crashed into a ROK truck parked on its shoulder…I read Syngman Rhee had the driver of the ROK truck and every passenger in the back executed.

What a story! It’s at the Hyatt on Namsan, not the Walker Hill. Anyway, screw the rink! What a great picture of Haebangcheon!

I got this story from a book written by former member of the UN Forces, in case you’re wondering if my sources are reliable.
