Think about this the next time you are thinking about hooking up:
A program that officials said put a dent in the spread of sexually transmitted diseases among U.S. soldiers in South Korea is running out of money. Two years ago, 8th Army began testing incoming personnel for chlamydia and gonorrhea.
That led to a jaw-dropping increase in the number of STDs found among South Korea-based U.S. soldiers: a roughly 40 percent jump since 2007. Army officials said the numbers were not evidence of a worsening problem, but rather of a successful screening program that has identified carriers, particularly of chlamydia, who might not otherwise have known they were candidates to infect others.
“Bottom line … we do not believe there is an increase in STDs among our soldiers,” 8th Army spokesman Lt. Col. Jeff Buczkowski said. “If you test more, you find more. The increase is not due to more cases, but to better screening.” [Stars & Stripes]
Just all the more reason to wrap it up.

The bad news:
Just what we need to rile the anti-American activists: a story confirming that GIs are bringing STDs to Korea. Maybe they should be required to have a health screening like the ESL teachers. Don't worry Korea. Don't screw a GI and you won't get screwed.
The good news:
The juicy girls are vindicated. They are cleaner than the GI women.
A little of trivia for you. In the good old days, before AIDS, STDs consisted mainly of gonorrhoea, syphilis and herpes. There were war stories that said some of the GIs listed on the Vietnam POW/MIA roster were actually the victims of a form of STD that was so severe and incurable, they had the be exiled to an island to quarantine them for life.
There was also a diagnosis for something called NSU; non-specific urethritis. I think most of NSU was due to what is known as chlamydia today.

Yea. I remember when the Hump would be locked down, for whatever reason. The STD rate on base would go UP.
That was very telling.
I used to love the way the Korean Hookers would fill a rubber tub with water and squat in it to wash their junk, change the water and drag it over to the bed and wash my junk. Sweet!
Now that was love back in the 80's!

From talk around the water cooler:
If the inbound girl is from Ft. Lee, just walk away.

So sorry about these Korean hookers giving clean GI's STD's. I apologize on behalf of all the dirty Korean ladies who have given you AIDS and STD's. Please accept my apology and you have my permission to go beat up any Korean lady of your choice. I am so sorry Koreans are bad bad animals. I am ashamed.

Please tom, the korean hookers were much cleaner than the "so called free" gi women.
Just a fact.
They were better also.
Just an american GI opinion from a few YEARS ago.
Don't know about today, they may suck now.

You are right. I'm sorry again for being a dirty ass evil Korean. I should not even have the right to be beside you. Koreans are a worthless trash who should be all gassed and eliminated so that the world can be a better place for innocent and pure Western people. Koreans shouldn't be breathing, so I'd like to apologize for 48 million animals called Koreans, wasting earth's oxygen. Please accept my humble apologies.

That's just not funny…And it will probably be taken out of context by the Korean media in 4…3…2…

Chlamydia, a "nasty" disease? All diseases are nasty. I can think of much worse than that. Get out of your cave, or at least read a book. I guess your "neighbor" never heard of the condom.

Wonder who female GIs catch STDs from? Male GIs perhaps? What goes around comes around.
