U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon took a similar tack in New York Tuesday, telling journalists that nothing made public from the private e-mail accounts of prominent climate scientists casts doubt on the causes or effects of climate change. In fact, he said, climate change is occurring “much, much faster than we realized, and we human beings are the primary cause.”
And in Copenhagen Tuesday, the World Meteorological Organization and the British Meteorological Office teamed up on offense, releasing new figures showing that the current decade is the warmest on record.
“These figures highlight that the world continues to see global temperature rise, most of which is due to increasing emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, and [they] clearly show that the argument that global warming has stopped is flawed,” they said in a statement. [Politico]
Remember this is the same Met Office that received their climate data from the CRU that was exposed by the ClimateGate emails for manipulating data. Because of this the Met recently announced that all their data will have to be reviewed and this review will not be complete until 2012. Also keep in mind that the line the “warmest on record” is based off approximately the last 150 years since they started recording temperatures. So as usual this is a deceptive line often used by the alarmists who ignore the fact that the Medieval Warm Period and other points in history were much hotter than it is now based off of tree ring and ice core samples. Finally temperatures have flat lined and actually been cooling these past few years despite more carbon than ever going into the atmosphere.
Also can anyone tell me what Ban Ki-moon has ever done to reduce carbon emissions when he served in the South Korean government? Now he wants to take money from me to give to the thugs that rule countries like Venezuela, Zimbabwe, and Sudan who all made appearances at Copenhagen.
By the way has everyone seen the latest lies Al Gore has been spreading?

It is pretty clear that Copenhagen was being used as a way to transfer wealth from richer nations to poorer nations as well as strengthen the power of the UN over our lives all in the name of global warming which we now know is based off flawed science.
Does anyone really think giving Mugabe, Bashir, Chavez, and the rest of those thugs billions of our dollars, which we don't have is going to be used to combat global warming? I rather that money go to paying subsidies for solar panels for Americans instead of paying off these thugs who will probably take the money and put up one windmill and then claim they need more cash before they can put up a second windmill.
This is like giving the North Koreans billions of dollars and actually expecting them to denuclearize.

I could get into all sorts of detail about the faults of CRU and most of the supposed "data" and "studies" that have been proposed. Serious scientists and engineer's refer to "climate science" as a religion and not an actual field of study. This is because those involved are more concerned with proving themselves right then actually discovering anything new, or making any breakthroughs that would lead to a better world.
Anyone who actually wants to see first hand what all the "data" and "studies" are about need to just look at.

Basically the climate guys "adjusted" the raw temperature data upwards as much as 6 degrees C to force the graphs to turn up sharply and not flatten out. This adjusting appears to be done manually on a site by site basis. The empirical methods used to determine the amount of adjustment have not be released by any of the climate groups. These formula's and computer simulation code are vital for any form of review and validation. Getting your "friend" to vouch for you is not valid "peer review" or "consensus" but that is exactly what happened within the climate research field. On each study if you look at who the peer-review / validation authority's are you see that their basically pointing at each other. I validate your paper, you validate my study, we're all happy and never need to involve more scrutinizing people.

Here is the site of another guy who verified the first guys methods by going over the data of Darwin. Then he took it a step further and is analyzing all the data sets from across the world. He found 194 instances where a "cooling trend" was changed into a "warming trend" by adjusting the raw data. Of the top 30 biggest discrepancies Darwin wasn't even in the first 10, but rather at #26.

This is THE most important part of the climate debate, as EVERY study / simulation / paper or presentation on the planet about this issue was done with these sets of adjusted data.
In the computer / IT field we have a saying GIGO. Garbage IN, Garbage OUT. It means no matter how accurate or perfect your program / system is, if you have flawed input then you will have flawed output and no amount of compensating can correct for that.
The data sets used as input for the climate studies are flawed, therefor the conclusions derived from those studies most also be flawed.

Well the money behind AGW is trying to get bills passed ASAP because they know in a few years the satellite data will irrefutably disprove their theory's. Currently they can hand wave and other tricks to make people not look in different directions but you can only maintain a lie this big for so long until it comes out. Also sooner rather then later they will have to release the rest of their modified data and the code / methodology behind it. Once that is examined and found to be coerced and deliberately biased all hell will break loose.
Currently there is a growing group of people on the net who are independently researching into this and tearing the data apart. Their finding all sorts of discrepancies. These kinds of things show beyond a reason of a doubt that SOMETHING very wrong and unscientific is happening at the heart of the AGW campaign. In science you should NEVER go by "trust me", EVERYTHING must be double checked and independently verified by outside non biased sources. To do any less is no science but a religion.
