Just recently, someone called my in-laws claiming to be cops. They said my brother-in-law had been driving drunk a few hours drive from our hometown, struck a pregnant lady, and then demanded millions of won to pay for her surgery, which they wanted deposited immediately in a bank account. They even had a guy who pretended to be my brother-in-law when my in-laws asked to talk with him. Luckily, my in-laws went straight to the police station instead when my brother-in-law wouldn't answer his phone (he was playing soccer). Please warn your in-laws or parents of these kinds of phone scams.

Greed is always the downfall of these fraudsters. Had they gotten only one modest policy, they might have gotten away with the crime.
