Zuma is still married to wives #1 and #2. From the BBC-

Senior figures from the ruling ANC, the trade union movement and the South African Communist Party are expected to attend, alongside family and friends.

Mr Zuma, a Zulu, was meant to marry his fiancee Thobeka Mabhija, 36, last year but the wedding was postponed due to Mr Zuma’s political commitments.

Correspondents say Mr Zuma’s belief in the traditional practice of polygamy has split South Africans.

Some support him but many younger people believe it should have no place in a modern society.

Have they no respect for their elders? Besides feel sorry for Zuma. One wife of his died back in 2000. In all Zuma has been married five times, and divorced once. A former Mrs. Zuma is currently South Africa’s Home Affairs Minister.

What do wives #1 and #2 think of Ms. Mabhija?

Under Zulu tradition, Mr Zuma’s two current wives are supposed to approve of the new wife and attend the wedding ceremony.

Democracy in action and Zuma has plans to take on a 4th wife at a future date. Ms Mabhija besides gaining a husband will gain the right of sufferage. Lucky her.

Having four wives, alone three, IMHO would be way too much drama for one man. Now Zuma is either Superman or has to have the best cardiologist on this planet.
