Democratic Party representative Jeong Gi-yeong, who has some kind of vision disability, wound up being taken off in a stretcher after a physical fight in the National Assembly with members of the majority Grand National Party. Rep. Jeong apparently fell over and hit his head.

No one ever asks what these fights are about. I'd like to know.

Idiotic infants. Clasic example of 50-60 something Koreans throwing tantrums. Their mommies assured them they were special and the center of the universe. This not only leads to these fights but; how they drive, how and where they park, lack of consideration for others (see first two), et etc.

The Korean left-wing parties started this crap.
Don't start nothing, there won't be nothing.

I noted this at Koreabeat but apparently KB admin is busy. That's not National Assembly — it's the Sungnam City Council.

Mmm,
Actually, I think it really took off in the 60's when a very powerful mob boss was elected to the national assembly. I read somewhere once threw a bucket of pig's urine on the floors of the national assembly in protest to a chaebol not being fined for having smuggled chemicals from China. I would imagine Korean politicians soon began copying him in order to give themselves some "populist" cred.

I see this guy at Seoul Station all the time, he hangs out between exits 9 and 10. There was no fight, he's just drunk.
