This is pretty despicable:
South Korea urged Russia on Friday to take steps to curb hate crimes against its citizens in Russia, following the death of a college student attacked earlier this week in what was believed to be a case of racially motivated violence.
“The government relayed its concerns over the seriousness of this incident and the negative effect it could have on the relationship between the two countries to the Russian government through our embassy in Moscow,” an official from South Korea’s foreign ministry in Seoul said.
The 22-year-old victim, identified only by his surname Kang, died at a hospital in the Russian city of Irkutsk on Thursday, three days after he and a female South Korean student were attacked by a group of three local youths in the Siberian city.
The female student, who only suffered minor injuries, has told South Korean diplomats in Irkutsk that the Russian youths attacked Kang from behind for no apparent reason.
The three suspects, all in their teens or early 20s, have been apprehended. Local police believe the violence was racially motivated since no money or other valuables were taken from the scene, according to officials at the South Korean consulate in Irkutsk.
Both Kang and the female student were on an exchange program between their college in Gwangju, some 320 kilometers southwest of Seoul, and a national college of education in the Russian city. [Yonhap]
I can’t imagine why Russians would want to kill a Korean exchange, but I have read articles before about Russians living in the Siberian regions unhappy with the number of Chinese immigrating into the area. Maybe this Korean student was confused with being a Chinese person by his attackers?

I hope I don't get mistaken for a Russian here in Korea in a retaliatory attack. Maybe some Chinese guys will jump me?

It's a murder, and that is a tragedy in and of itself, but what is the evidence that it was a hate crime? In many places, Asian tourists — originally just Japanese, but increasingly affluent South Koreans and others — are targets of thuggish thieves looking for a quick score.
I'm just asking. It doesn't mean that the poor guy (and his loved ones) suffer/ed any less.

Most of the Russians are stupid, narrow minded, neo Nazi, and worship Hitler. I call them stupid because it was Hitler who killed 22 millions white Ruskies and yet they celebrate Hitler's birthday and worship him as God. Its just a matter of time before Chinese take over Russia and I must say, it will be good for the world. Then white neo-nazi Russians in Siberia will work as cheap labor and women will work as whores in local whore houses servicing Chinese men as they now do in Beijing.
