The Marmot’s Hole gives everyone an update on the case of a New Zealand skinhead who turned to murder after his girlfriend cheated on him with their German Shepherd.  Well his partner in crime just recently plead guilty to murder of one of their victims who was a 25 year old South Korean backpacker by the name of Kim Jae-hyeon:

Skinhead Shannon Brent Flewellen has admitted murdering South Korean tourist Jae Hyeon Kim on the West Coast near Charleston in late 2003.

He pleaded guilty before Justice John Fogarty in the High Court at Christchurch, a few weeks before his scheduled trial.

Another West Coast man, Hayden McKenzie, has already admitted his role in the murder at a preliminary hearing in October 2008 and later took police to the student’s gravesite, allowing his remains to be recovered and returned to his family.

Flewellen, a 30-year-old Nelson fisherman, now faces a life term for the murder and a non-parole term that the Crown will seek to have imposed at his sentencing in Christchurch on April 29.  [TVNZ]
