Below are the latest court martial results from the USFK website.  It was actually a very bad month with four servicemembers convicted of a DUI.  That is pretty bad.  Also does anyone know what was up with the destruction of property incident with 2-1 ADA? 

Court-Martial Results for March 2010

At a summary court-martial on 26 March 2010, Specialist Kelley N. Whitty-Sandaker, 19th AG Postal Company, Special Troops Battalion, USAG-Yongsan was convicted of damaging government property, operating a motor vehicle while drunk, wrongful appropriation of a Government owned vehicle, and failing to obey a lawful general regulation.  He was sentenced to reduction to Private First Class (E3) and confinement for 30 days.

At a special court-martial on 24 March 2010, Sergeant First Class Anthony A. Fenech, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division was convicted of five (5) specifications of assault and one (1) specification of wrongfully concealing serious offenses known to him.  He was sentenced to a reprimand.

At a general court-martial on 10 March 2010, Senior Airman Gareth A. Smith, 51st Logistics Readiness Squadron (PACAF) was convicted of two (2) specifications of signing a false official record.  He was sentenced to reduction to Airman Basic (E1), forfeiture of all pay and allowances, confinement for 16 months and a Bad Conduct Discharge.

At a general court-martial on 25 March 2010, Sergeant Jose L. Castillo, Bravo Company, 2-9 Infantry Regiment, 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team , 2nd Infantry Division was convicted of maltreating a subordinate.  He was sentenced to reduction to Private (E1), confinement for 12 months and a Bad Conduct Discharge.

In Seoul Central District Court on 3 March 2010, SSG Mario L. Austria, HHC, STB-K, was convicted of traffic law violations.  His adjudged sentence was a 700,000 Won fine.

In Uijeongbu District Court on 4 March 2010, SSG Jeffery A. Jacob, E Co, 1/72d Armor, was convicted of DUI.  His adjudged sentence was a 1,500,000 Won fine.

In Seoul Central District Court on 11 March 2010, SGT Timothy P. O’Connell, HHC, STB-K, was convicted of DUI and driving without a valid license.  His adjudged sentence was a 3,000,000 Won fine.

In Seoul Central District Court on 11 March 2010, PFC Tyler T. Howlett, HHC, STB-K, was convicted of destruction of an official document.  His adjudged sentence was a 2,000,000 Won fine.

In Daegu District Court on 16 March 2010, 1LT Joshua S. Rainer, C Btry, 2-1st ADA, was convicted of destruction of property.  His adjudged sentence was a 1,000,000 Won fine.

In Daegu District Court on 16 March 2010, CPL Stephen R. Giglio, C Btry, 2-1st ADA, was convicted of destruction of property.  His adjudged sentence was a 1,000,000 Won fine.

In Daegu District Court on 16 March 2010, SGT Frank J. Tatroe, C Btry, 2-1st ADA, was convicted of destruction of property.  His adjudged sentence was a 1,000,000 Won fine.

In Uijeongbu District Court on 18 March 2010, CPT Evan E. Jones, HHC, 3-2d GSAB, was convicted of DUI.  His adjudged sentence was a 2,000,000 Won fine.

In Suwon District Court on 18 March 2010, PFC Philip S. Kim, HSC, 3d Military Intelligence Battalion, was convicted of larceny.  His adjudged sentence was a 1,000,000 Won fine.

In Seoul Central District Court on 18 March 2010, SPC Cameron W. Wood, HSC, 602d ASB, was convicted of a violation of the Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes and Protection of the Victims Thereof (lewd act using communication media).  His adjudged sentence was a 3,000,000 Won fine.

In Seoul Central District Court on 19 March 2010, PFC Elbert L. Davis, III, HHC, 304th Signal Battalion, was convicted of fraud and uttering a private document.  His adjudged sentence was a 500,000 Won fine.

In Seoul Central District Court on 19 March 2010, PFC Jonathan E. Newsom, HHD, 524th Military Intelligence Battalion, was convicted of assault.  His adjudged sentence was a 1,000,000 Won fine.
