YELLOW SEA (Apr. 3, 2010) USNS Salvor (T-ARS 52) anchored in the Yellow Sea off the coast of the Republic of Korea in support of Republic of Korea Navy search and rescue efforts in the wake of the sinking of ROKS Cheonan.     The Salvors lift capacity is around 300 tons, while the displacement of the Choenan was around 1200 tons. Even though the ship is split I would think the Salvor would be only of assistance. The ship also has deep diving capability as well so it could be used for divers.
