The Russian Solution to Somali Piracy

» by in: Russia

So does anyone think the Somali pirates will ever target Russian ships?:

The Russian warship Marshal Shaposhnikov, pictured in 2003 during exercises in the Indian Ocean.

Ten pirates captured by the Russian navy last week near Somalia were put in an inflatable boat without navigational equipment and cast adrift in the Indian Ocean last Friday. They are now presumed dead, according to Russian officials.

The official told the Russian press that after an hour, radar contact with the the boat was lost and the pirates “apparently” had all died. He did not elaborate…  [Epoch Times via Blackfive]

These pirates had captured a Russian oil tanker and special forces operation freed the tanker and captured the 10 pirates.  The decision was then made to put the pirates in the raft far from shore.  I’m just wonder whether or not these pirates had holes in their head before being put into the raft?  Of course the human rights people are pissed off:

Reports have said that after their release the Russian navy put the pirates in a boat some 300 nautical miles offshore, removing all weaponry and navigational equipment from the vessel.

“It would have been more humane to have hung them up from the yardarm,” a rights activist, whose name was not given, told the Kommersant daily at the weekend.

Anyway it will be interesting to see if the pirates no longer hijack Russian ships or not.

Sometimes I'd like to see the most ruthless states of the international community, Russia or China for example, take on the dirty work of the world in this fashion. Trouble is, many of the really bad actors out there count those two states as allies or patrons.

Some people might not agree with what they did, but at least they took care of business. That's ten pirates that won't take another ship. A better message would have been to sail close enough to the Somali Coast so any pirate, or potential pirate would be able to see those ten pirates hanging from the yardarms.

This is actually pretty mild compared to their past exploits. Back in the 80s, Muslim terrorists kidnapped a Soviet embassy staffer in Lebanon. The KGB kidnapped one of the head terrorists and proceeded to ship him back to his friends in pieces. I think the Tangos let the embassy guy go after they got their buddy's second finger in the mail.

The story that I read about this said that the Soviet's sent the terrorist's testicles back to his buddies and then the staffer was released. I think if we would send the SEALS or Delta Force to catch one some of these terrorist, stuff a pork chop down their throat, then blow their brains out and send photos to the other terrorist then alot of this crap would stop. The reason is that Muslims believe that if you touch pork right before you die, then you won't go to paradise. In regards to the pirates we know where their ports are located. Just warn them if any further incident take place that we will blow every boat out of the water and if the pirate do something then keep our promise.

Q: Why don't Ethiopian pirates take baths?

A: They just wash up on the shore.

    That is sooooo recycled.

I prefer original material but I couldn't resist.

    In other news…

"After accidentally-on-purpose bumping off Somali pirates, Russia opts for a similar zero-paperwork approach to Moscow subway bombing suspects."

Read this and you will wish all Ethiopians dead just out of principle. They manage to play every card from racism to pity… while cleverly justifying criminal acts of piracy.

Ethiopia isn't the pirate country, it's Somalia.

Actually, Ethiopia is helping us out and have been for several years now. The Somalis attack them (along with Eritrea, another crap hole on the face of the planet).

Why waste a good pork chop. A pigs snout would be more appropriate, and leave no doubt as to what it was.

The Somalis (or whatever they style themselves) deserve what they got. Paul Watson and the Somalis are identical. I don't care the cause, they are one and same. When the Russians say "Не подходите к нашим кораблям." They fuckin mean it. The Japanese should follow suit.

I know it's an urban legend, however, I love it just the same:

General Pershing was in charge of a U.S. garrison in the Philippines in 1911. It seems his soldiers were subjected to a series of terror attacks by Filipino Muslims. Pershing did not try to put together a "road map." Nor did he set up study groups to find out why the Muslims hated the Americans. Nor did he offer them a series of "good will gestures." Nor did he put up a giant wall to keep them out. Instead, he captured fifty of those Muslim terrorists. He then had them dig their own graves. He then tied all up to posts execution style. He then dipped fifty bullets in pig's blood. You see, Muslims murders may not have a problem with soaking their hands into Jewish blood but NO WAY do they want anything to do with the skin, blood or 'guts' of a pig. Should they be contaminated by any of these pig parts, they will go to Muslim Hell, not Muslim Paradise!

And so, on the count of three, all but one of those Paradise-seeking Islamists were shot dead! Their bodies were them wrapped in the skins of freshly-killed pigs and dropped into the giant hole. Above them were poured the entrails and other porcine remains. You may ask, "Why was one Muslim spared?" The answer is simple. This sole surviving Muslim was released and sent back to his fellow 'mujahedin' to report what he had just witnessed. For the next 42 years there was not a single Muslim attack!

Cute…But, those pirates, if they are like the ones in Indonesia, are probably too stoned to go to the Mosque.

"Ethiopia isn’t the pirate country, it’s Somalia. "

Duh. What was I thinking. I meant to say Somalia.

Also, y'all, while we are on the subject of Islam…

…you probably know about the mega-mosque that is being built near Ground Zero. Betcha can't guess the day of its grand opening.

As a native New Yorker, I'll throw in my two cents and say, "so what?"

I was in the city 10 months after 9/11. In the summer of 2002, the people I talked to didn't feel they were attacked by Islam. They were attacked by fanatical Muslims. They knew that many Muslims were also killed in that attack. People outside of New York may not understand that New Yorkers work with and interact with Muslims every day. I lived in an area of Brooklyn where it is not surprising to see a man in full Shiite Muslim robes walk past a man in full Hasidic Jewish top hat and coat.

I am sure it is easy for the New York Post, a Rupert Murdoch publication, to find some people who are offended about a Mosque being built near ground zero. They may even be able to scare up a noisy 100 person Astroturf protest group to rant about it. But, I don't think most New Yorkers will really care. On September 11, 2011, they will be complaining most about the fact that after 10 years of bureaucratic bickering, nothing was built to replace the fallen towers.

A little trivia for you: Did you know that the T-Shirt vendor who alerted police to the smoking car bomb in Times Square was a Vietnam veteran and also a Muslim? It's good that most people don't know that because it shouldn't even have to be note worthy.

"But not all Muslims are like that" doesn't alter the fact that 9/11, like so many other attacks, occured because of Islam.

I had heard on Sean Hannity about the Mosque being built near ground zero but I missed the part about it opening on 9/11. I was upset about the Mosque but the opening on 9/11 has me enraged. There was a former Muslim lady on Hannity who said that the Imam was the son of a member or founder(I don't recall which) of the Muslim Brotherhood which was the original Jihadist group. How f'ing stupid have we become?

Sounds like the Muslims could use a little sensitivity training. I hear pitchforks and torches can be useful training aids.

    "So what?"

For a guy who gets huffingly offended at pretty much all the trivial nonsense I post, you seem pretty cool with an organization celebrating an attack on innocent American civilians.

While this is an opportunity for "Islam" to separate itself from "fanatical Muslims", it doesn't really seem like they are trying here… in fact, it seems as if the "fanatical Muslims" are running the situation and New Yorkers are too dumb to notice as they walk around saying, "So what?"

And where are the American, New Yorker Muslims-that-you-work-with-every-day differentiating themselves by vocally condemning this into oblivion?

    Hello? Anybody?

"They knew that many Muslims were also killed in that attack."

Ahhh… maybe that explains it. New Yorkers were brainwashed into thinking so many Muslims died on 9/11 that "Islam" was also attacked by "fanatical Muslims"…

…but, it seems this was based off unsupported claims by… yes… various agenda-driven Muslims PURPOSELY trying to get everyone to believe that.

Look here for someone who put some effort into verifying these claims…

You certainly have an interesting attitude…

…thinking nothing of a mosque near Ground Zero and happily accepting September 11 as a perfectly appropriate opening date.

I bet you always laughed nervously when the bully spit on you after giving you a good ass beating.

You are either shockingly clueless or diety-like in your tolerance, understanding and forgiveness.

    We can test that.

Say, what's you sister doin' tonight?

"Sorry. I’m a little too old to fall for juvenile baiting."

Ohhhh! Wrong again! You fell for it hook, line, sinker and worm.

Instead of addressing my views on your social complacency concerning an intolerant group that sees tolerance as weakness and a path to empowerment, you chased after the bait.

"It doesn’t make your argument any stronger. Quite to the contrary."

Nooooo… your lack of rebuttal, while you focus on the bait, gives it strength.

Now, did you have anything to say about the issue?
