OK, so the title is my opinion, but anyone who has tasted The Country’s Best Yogurt (TCBY) might agree with me.
CT Business Group has agreed to open 30 new Mrs. Fields or TCBY stores in Hawaii and Washington state over the next five years, as well as 30 stores in South Korea to be owned and operated or subfranchised. [Pacific Business news]
I am not a fan of Baskin Robbins in Korea, and Cold Stone in Korea is not something you can eat all the time unless you are willing to spend a couple hours on a treadmill every night. I last ate at a TCBY in 1987 when I lived in Florida; the yogurt tasted great and the prices were right. So, I hope nothing has changed.

Will it fly though? Korean perceptions of frozen yogurt have already been heavily shaped by stores like Red Mango (the entire FroYo, Pinkberry trend that went hot in the US a couple years back). I wonder if TCBY can penetrate.

Good point. Is TCBY more tart than Red Mango?
If I remember correctly, Yogen Fruz (a popular frozen yogurt vendor in Canada) is, maybe by design to highlight its products aren't ice cream.

The world's best yogurt is no longer available. It was the old Dannon with no added sugar, no added gelatin, no added nada.

I always read daily Busines News from across different online aggregators to keep myself up to date.:.:

I thought it was TCBY, "This Can't be Yogurt". But, It's been mpre than a decade since I been there and tasted that. Maybe a new marketing ploy? Is Dannon really gone?!?
