That is what the Japanese media is claiming at least.

What's wrong with the cartoon? It's true.

Like the US media or the ROK media, "the Japanese media" is fairly diverse, opinion-wise. The Tokyo Shimbun is a bit left, which may mean more likely to be critical of the US, and it may not represent all Japanese media.
And before anyone complains about the depiction of the soldier stomping on Okinawa, please consider some context [see HERE].

I see nothing wrong with it either. What's the big deal?

Japan is a lucky country.
They invaded Korea and stole Korean resources and cultural assets, than came the Korean War and the Vietnam war and they made lot of money supplying goods for the USA soldiers and now they get more money with the Afghanistan war.
They started the WWII in Asia and devastated most Asian countries, but even defeated they are the now the most prosperous country involved in WWII. They should swear eternal gratitude to the USA.

Didn't see anything about long nosed white Americans. Is there a reason for that as well. (I'm of French ancestry and have a 'fine' French nose handed down through centuries of proper breeding and culture).

"They invaded Korea and stole Korean resources and cultural assets"
-Just out of curiosity what were these Korean resources and cultural assest stolen?
"They started the WWII in Asia and devastated most Asian countries, but even defeated they are the now the most prosperous country involved in WWII. They should swear eternal gratitude to the USA."
-With that logic shouldn't Korea and most of Western Europe swear eternal gratitude to the USA?

Expats with big mouths who can't stop whining about their host country daily, don't you know what that means?

Tom, you're always good for a laugh. How's things going with your country building that coalition of nations because you guys can't take care of business yourselves? Crying to the world again, is this the norm over the history of Korea? Korea couldn't take care of itself in 1950 and they still can't. Whats going on Tom? Why does Korea need so many nations to stand by its side before taking action against a road apple like North Korea?
I notice see the Japanese guy holding a box of money is that box of money revenue from the islets of Takashima? He wears glasses is that because all orientals have bad eyes?
Don't lose focus of the topic of discussion Tom.

Oh it's going well. We let the Americans pay for everything and handle everything. I think it's a smart economic move for South Korea plus it's good for Americans because they can use this opportunity to test out their bazookas and shoot their guns and play soldier.

Tom, when you speak of the bazookas, shooting guns and playing Soldier; are you referring to America standing by Korea over the sinking of the Choenan?
