They're bland in comparison to the original.

But cheap and survives the trip abroad. It's just like MREs, you could get something much tastier, cheaper, and even more nutritious, but it wouldn't meet the criteria of lasting almost a year or being dropped out of a plane.

It's a shame they can't give them the original choco pie – The Moonpie, produced in Chatanooga, Tennessee. The choco pie is a poor imitation.

I forgot about the Moon Pie…The Wagon Wheels are still the original, as in original copies of Moon Pies. ;-)

Everything with Koreans has to be a superlative when dealing with something Korean. Choco Pies are the children's favorite. Kimchi is the world's #1 health food. Kpop is the most loved music in Asia. Etc… ad neausuem.

Actually I find Choco pies to be pretty spectacular after a week in the field and with an ice cold real glass bottle of coke from Ajuma's truck.

I never liked mixing chocolate and cola.

Yeah. You're just asking for diabetes with that combination.

Who doesn't like a ultra dry, crumbling bread covered in plastic texture chocolate, with a sponge like marshmallow in the middle?

I never had the original but I think that Chocopies should be renamed “cocoa-styrofoam” to avoid ripping people off.

When I was stationed in Korea in '79-'80 my 'Yobo' whose ville name was Mina used to love Choco pies as I did but they are not as good as the original Moon pies as Mikesaw said which are made in Chattanooga, TN. Moon pies are now made in a number of different flavors beside chocolate. Around Halloween they have an orange flavor which is really good.
