I haven’t done a round up of site stats in quite a while, but below are the site’s stats from last month. The site does continue to have a slow, but steady growth in readership. From May 2009 the site has added almost 800 unique page views per day. For those that don’t know uniques are the tally of different IP addresses accessing the site thus creating a good indicator of site readership. Page views are how many pages the site visitors are accessing. About half the people reading the ROK Drop just read one posting or the front page before leaving. These are most likely people accessing the site from Google searches or social media. The other half of visitors click and read comments on the site. Page views are also up by almost 1,400 compared to one year ago. The continued growth of the site is thanks to all the referrers and readers that continue to visit the site.
You will see below that my number one refer is now the VANK website if you can believe it considering my past criticism of VANK. I do have to say that VANK has changed their group some what towards promoting Korea instead of looking for every perceived slight from a foreigner to criticize. Nevertheless I do appreciate the referral traffic from VANK as well as the other top referrers on the below list. You will also see that with my top postings that offbeat stuff continues to drive the most page view traffic. If I did a blog dedicated to just Korean celebrities and offbeat topics I would probably have even more site traffic, but that is not the reason why I blog. I like to keep this site primarily focused on serious issues with the offbeat stuff sprinkled in just mix things up a bit.
Anyway thanks for reading the ROK Drop and I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Brian I have a number of links that come from Wikipedia for mostly Korean War related postings I have done, however the Wikipedia posting on the Cheonan sinking is what has been bringing the most traffic lately.
