Watched it. It's as if they were playing roles (she's the cute one, she's the new one eager to fit in,…)

I am certain their oral skills are impressive. That's how you make it in the Korean music business.

It's kind of hard to judge their English skills because they are responding to canned questions and you only get to see their responses.

I'd like to see them take unprepared questions from native English speakers and provide off-the-cuff responses that make sense. If they could pull that off – I'd be very impressed.

Absolutely amazing how being completely devoid of talent and personality is no bar to making it big in the k-pop industry. That said, the only salable quality these girls here is that every red-blooded male in this country will endure their music with ear plugs just to get a shot at ‘em — just as the Captain Ramsey character played by Gene Hackman said in Crimson Tide:

Captain Ramsey/Gene Hackman:“Yeah, horses’re fascinating animals. Dumb as fence posts but very intuitive. In that way they’re not too different from high school girls: They may not have a brain in their head but they do know all the boys want to fuck ‘em.”

Guitard, you're probably right to some extent. Still, I would say they speak better English than most of the KATUSAs I had in my unit.

When I first got to Korean way back when, we had KATUSAs that showed up at the unit that literally couldn't speak a word of English. These days, however, it's fairly common to hear KATUSAs speak English with no accent at all.

The girls speak well with good accent. I wonder if they could write in English just as well. Speaking is far easier than writing in keeping the audience engaged to what you have to say, and you can observe that among the KATUSAs too; in your next business encounter with them, give them a paper and see how better or worse they can convey an important idea than through speaking.

I’m surprised their “student visa” hasn’t been pulled, and they can kiss working in the USA gone forever. I would also ban their so called talent management for the same reason.
