    What were they doing? Fishing or fission? Earning a living or committing hostile acts?

    How did they know for sure they were communists? Did they float back up to the surface when they dunked them in the water?

    Hmm,

    Three men in a boat versus a 10,000-ton Cleveland class light cruiser; maybe three rifles versus 12 6-inch naval rifles, discretion was the better part of valor for them. If they ever returned to NK they had a good alibi for why they came up missing for a while, if anyone in the north would believe them…
