February 1951. Ridgeway was now in control, the Chinese were stopped at Chipyong-ni, and operation ripper? was started. The 24th regiment was an all black regiment at the beginning of the Korean war.

I don't know what their disposition was at this time. Still all black or being integrated.

    #1,

They were probably still segregated in early 1951 since the plan to desegregate the Army was announced in July 26, 1951. Ranger units, including the all black 2D Ranger Co., were disbanded and sent back to their original units in the week prior to this announcement. From September 1951 until late 1952, an effort was made by the US Army to maintain its units desegregated.
