If Korea leads the world in porn, then why is Korean porn so crappy?

No way Korea tops Japan in porn. Wikipedia isn't what I would consider a reliable source…

I am sitting here watching the England vs Germany World Cup game and I just continue to be amazed by how poor FIFA officiating is. England was robbed of a goal that land two yards within the net before it bounced out and the referee said it didn't go in. This is definitely a sport in need of instant replay to save it from such poor officiating.

Well that discounted goal ended up not really mattering because England sucks. Germany just destroyed them 4-1. They are going to be a tough out whoever plays them.

Just watched England vs. Germany at an Irish pub in Seoul. When "God Save the Queen" came on, we sang "Our Country Tis of Thee." A KBS camera man was there and turned the camera towards us at the end of the Anthem when we sang "Let Freedom Ring!"

@5 But would England have been as broken if the goal was counted? I think not.

Also, they could use goal-line technology rather than instant replay.

Oh, and the Germany-England game reeks of 1966 irony.

Watching the Argentina and Mexico game and the referees screwed up yet again giving Argentina a goal despite being offside. How can the world's biggest sports competition allow itself to have such crappy officiating?

Is Stanley McChrystal still an O-10? What's he doing now?

#10: I do not think he had sufficient time in grade to retire as an 0-10, so his retirement would be at 0-9. Life is tough!

I'd say right about now, he is going to medical, cleaning up his TA-50, making sure his DD-214 is up to date (don't want to be missing that impact AAM he got as a 2LT) and going to ACAP. The poor fellow is going to have a tough time on the outside.

Will Bret Favre return this year? Yes. He will.

Jap porn is strange porn. I think I like it. Not sure. Need more research.

I wonder if my next door neighbors are doing it in the backyard — again? The dogs are quiet so I guess not.

Will American troops still be in Korea in 2055? yes, they will.

I hope my investment in PBR does well.

Should I fly to FL to watch the Sept Shuttle launch or drive? If I drive, I can stop in Jacksonville and hook up with an ole girlfriend going thru an overdue divorce.

The General got relieved, not demoted. At least that is what I last heard. It is most likely that he is going thru retirement processing. He will have his pick of jobs after that.

He may still retire as a three star. He has only had his fourth star for one year.

That being said, he might elect to remain active duty.

Good thing there never was a R.S. reporter around ME! I would have been arrested for some of the things I said about Clinton. Bush as well on one occasion!

"The poor fellow is going to have a tough time on the outside."

There was a story that the State Department requested the DoD to leave some of its MRAPs, helicopters, and other military equipment behind for them in Iraq. Since State doesn't have indigenous personnel to maintain and operate that equipment, they will most likely contract it out. And, since Blackwater is barred from Iraq, and the Iraqi government may carry that disbarment over to its new incarnation as Xe, there may be an opportunity for another security company with the right partner connections … cough … McChrystal … cough … cough, to get in there.

    WWIV… the countdown begins.

It's gonna solve the economic crisis… sorta.

BTW, for those of you who are counting, WWIII was the Cold War… arguably.

I read that earlier. Reminded me of some of the requests I heard for English speaking executive assistants in Korea. Young Caucasian women need only apply.

It can work the other way too. I remember one of the times I visited a Glasshouse in Korea. I, and two Korean American co-workers, put on business suits. They were Korean businessmen taking a visiting American colleague out for a night out on the town. We were VIPs compared to the regular patrons. We got VIP treatment.

Joec does have a point about appearances. Its important in any culture / country to have the appropriate appearance. In Korea It can open doors that would of otherwise been closed. When I was younger and single me and my buddy would occasionally go out in business suits and you'd be amazed at the treatment you get. Its like the people see foreighn white guys wearing business suits and think "OMG their some kind of important person, better do something special".

    #3 Deutschland über alles!

The majority of educated Germans born during or after WW2 absolutely hate that song. Only American and neo-nazi skinheads like it and would choose to sing it spontaneously. Conversely, a lot of young Germans see no problem with saying "Sieg Heil" when rooting for their team during the World Cup, whether it be Germany or some other team. Go figure…
