Paintings of Alleged US Korean War Atrocities In Pyongyang Museum

» by in: North Korea

Via BoingBoing comes this painting from a Pyongyang Museum:

Here is the gallery of pictures taken at the Shinchon Museum.  Sadly there are plenty of people in both South Korea and even the US that believes this stuff.

Hardly worth comment as propaganda turns dental care to an atrocity.

Y'know, Princess Diana was the inspiration for the White folks in those paintings.

    I wasn't the Princess, baby…

    …it was da King!

Wrong color on the patch, but the GI's in those pictures look like they came from the 7th Div. I don't recall hearing any unit histories that would describe the happenings in those pictures when I was in the 7th ID ('68-'70). Although, I did know a guy in my unit that went to the dental clinc in 7th Med. for a tooth extraction, and they ended up pulling out the wrong tooth!

You can see in "dentist" the painting the molar tooth is fully intact and has some infection, so the medic did well helping to remove the infected tooth. Such surgery is difficult under field conditions, but our boys made best with the tools at hand and kept the infection from spreading. It is well known in medical circles that a badly infected tooth can spread to the blood lines to the brain. So clearly this young ladies life may have been saved by the army dentist.

This is clearly nonsense, US troops don't do this.

In fact, at this very moment Amnesty International, Unicef, the Human Rights Watch in Geneva, WAR Child, Doctors without borders, the Red Cross and the Red Crescent are all making up bullshit stories about how hundreds of women and children in Iraq and Afghanistan are being systematically raped and tortured in prisons. You should see the dozens of mutilated women they pay to pretend to be witnesses.

Everyone knows US soldiers serve democracy and freedom and would never do such a thing.

I meant in US Army-held prisons, which of course is also nonsense.

USA!! USA!! USA!! GO EAGLES!!! *puts on Seinfeld and starts eating crap that will kill him, as he sits in his star-spangled underwear on a plastic-wrapped sofa*

In ChickenHead 6's picture, da King ain't wearin' no name tag. He served 1958 – 1960. When did soldiers start wearing name tags?

    I changed my mind.

The inspiration for the painting wasn't Elvis.

    It was Richard Mulligan.

Also, I'd like to point out that American soldiers collect fingers, not teeth.

Besides, even a hard-core raape gang finds a screaming girl with bloody, toothless gums to be unattractive…

…although, I suppose if you can get past that, a forced BJ would be lot safer and more enjoyable.

It turns out that USFK is actively countering North Korean propaganda which puts American forces in a bad light.

Many of the incidents blamed on USFK which get a lot of bad attention in Korea don't really occur the way they are publicly portrayed.

In fact, USFK has just released pictures of what really happened in the 2002 schoolgirl/tracked vehicle incident.

It turns out that the entire incident was greatly exaggerated by leftist agitators and North Korean operatives.

This really is something USFK should have done 8 years ago.
