Over on the USFK Facebook page there is an interesting posting about AAFES in Korea. I have to agree with this Facebook poster that the NEX at Pearl Harbor is the best military exchange I have been to:
Since Rick is going to Hawaii that would be a great opportunity to visit the NEX at Pearl Harbor. Throughout my life as a dependent and military career the NEX has been the best exchange I have shopped at. They have a wide variety of current trends in fashion, home decor, and electronics. I realize they have a two story facility but if you can copy what makes them work and package it for Korea that would be great.
Also, it would be great to have some better vendors at the PX’s here in Korea. If I wanted blankets and watches I can easily go off base and even get involved with a bit of cultural exchange. When I go to the PX I want a little bit of the States. Gamestop would be a great idea. The PX on Schofield has one and it seems to be doing great.
A golf pro shop with reasonable prices would be awesome too. Or maybe just a well stocked and thought out golf section.
So does anyone have anything they want to add about how to improve AAFES in Korea?
