Joe Biden Takes Credit For Success In Iraq

» by in: US Military

I guess the first rule of being a politician is to never admit you were wrong even when it is plainly obvious:

But even though Biden said the surge worked militarily, he said he didn’t regret his vote in the Senate against it because Bush did not include a plan to address Iraq’s political problems. “I don’t regret a thing, what I said or did about Iraq policy,” he said.

It was the Obama administration, Biden said, that put in the plan that led to success. “What was lacking in the past was a coherent political process.” Biden said 145,000 U.S. servicemembers were in Iraq when President Obama took office in January 2009. In five weeks, that number will be down to 50,000.

Biden said success in Iraq can be defined as “enabling Iraq’s transition to autonomy” and that goal has been accomplished, including free elections and trained security forces. “Now it’s up to the Iraqi people and their leaders.”  [USA Today]

The political process and elections would have never took place without the troop influx and local tribal militias providing increased security for the Iraqi government to advance the political process.  Can anyone think of a politician that has admitted they were dead wrong something before?

It is called english tom. I know. I know. But english is SO difficult to learn.

Let me HELP YOU. Get a dictionary. Try looking up adjectives. Put down the comic books. They will make you sound stupid and uneducated.

More help for you tom, a short list that applies to Biden: fool, asswipe, demopcrat, idiot, liberal, tool, fake, liar. There are more, but I do not wish to overload your brain with new words.

"super hero". Really tom. Are you twelve years old?

    Speaking of Al Gore.

PS. One thing, though. Polygraph exams are pseudo-scientific BS. The only purpose they serve is to get the people being "tested" to talk.

    Tom

You and me need to go out for some beers and ojinga. Get all that frustration out of your system. Jeez… Teadrinker is a knee jerk apologist for all things liberal, but even THAT has a purpose for any side of a discussion.

You just need to get a bleaux job. No- you're on your own for that….Can't help you there but I will split a few beers with you if it will make you feel better.

"Teadrinker is a knee jerk apologist for all things liberal,"

Right, because questioning the validity of a polygraph exam that she failed (which means it doesn't convince me Al Gore didn't cop a feel) makes me a liberal apologist.
