Cat Killing Woman Assaults Cat Owner

Remember the cat killing woman?  Well it appears her propensity towards violence isn’t only directed at cats:

A woman, who became notorious for savagely beating a neighbor’s cat and throwing it out a window on the 10th floor of her apartment building, was indicted without physical detention Friday for violating the Animal Protection Law, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office said Friday.

It is a rare litigation case on animal cruelty here.

On top of kicking and beating the animal, the 25-year-old, better known on the Internet as the “cat assaulter,” is also suspected of having thrown the cat, named “Eunbi,” to its death from an apartment building in Seocho-gu, southern Seoul, in June. The cat was found dead on the ground.

According to police and a video clip, taken by a surveillance camera, the woman, identified as Chae, brutally kicked and stepped on the Persian cat, which was wandering around a corridor of the 10th floor of the building at around 4 a.m. on June 15. Chae stated in the police investigation that she drank liquor after a quarrel with her boyfriend and vented her anger at the cat.

After the incident, Chae apologized to the cat’s owner, identified as Park, but after it was rejected, she punched Park in the face, adding an assault charge to the case, according to police.  [Korea Times]

Read the rest at the link, but Chae is facing up to a year in jail and a 10 million won fine.

I like how the news blocked out the face of the cat in order to maintain its anonymity.

If they're actually charging her with animal cruelty couldn't charges be brought up on every farmer beating dogs for stew? Like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lcZcEKMmzY

Just for the record, severe abuse of small animals to include killing and or mutilation, are often symtoms of brutal incest. Anyone talked to the father yet?

Musko, find a video that's not almost 10 years old.

Regardless, here's my reply to you (read comment #103)

I find it disturbing that the videographer was more concerned with getting the shot than helping that particular animal. At one point didn't he tell his friend not to intervene? All for the greater good, eh? Save the wails!

It looks like they were trying to hang the dog and kill it for meat, but was getting unsuccessful. I wouldn't really call it torture. One of the videographer says "we have the world cup this year", which tells me 2002. This is the latest video they got. Some hick poor farmers who are killing the dog for some protein that they're not getting enough of. Look at the dilapidated run down houses and rubbish.. these guys didn't have much money, how else are they going to kill the dog other than to hang it?

"Some hick poor farmers who are killing the dog for some protein that they’re not getting enough of."

Nice try. They could have pan fried grasshoppers and locusts. It's a far better source of protein than dog meat. Not it may only be a snack enjoyed by the elderly in South Korea, but in terms of "traditional food", this is it. Koreans, and other people, have been eating these bugs to supplement their protein deficient diet for thousands of years, long before Koreans began eating rice and kimchi.

    A: I hit the pusssy… I smack around its owner… I'm fine.

If Tom is a former KATUSA, as he claimed in another thread, then I would appreciate hearing more about his experiences and how they affected his current view of Americans. I agree with him that this blog attracts comments from a pretty low social tier from time to time.

 That's the part of my life I would literally like to forget about. But seriously, I know how you guys talk and what your world views are, don't come on here and pretend you really care about these girls and accuse Koreans of not caring about Filipinos. Jesus, that's like the rapist complaining about sexual harassments in society. I like Chickenhead, I really do. At least he's honest, and I respect his views and I think he's damn funny. I always like to read Chickenhead.

" Nice try. They could have pan fried grasshoppers and locusts. It’s a far better source of protein than dog meat"

Great, after this video, now we're going to have a thousand self-righteous English teachers who personally say they saw dogs getting tortured and killed. If it's on TV, then they gotta be the center of the attention by lying.

I'm Filipino and can share lots of experiences how we get mistreated by Koreans not just here, but also in the Philippines. I also understand the derogatory comments they make when they are in the Phillipines and they assume nobody around understands them till I bust them out.

I'm a Filipina and my experience with the US Soldiers were not memorable. They trueated us like we were Third World whores to give out sex to men (who even often had wives and girlfriends in the States). They treated and talked about us like if we were garbage to have sex with only.

    off-topic:

Well I'm in the Philippines right now… I know there are social problems between Filipinos and Koreans (the largest foreign population in the Philippines) here that provoke a lot of conflict. I can also see that most Filipinos in the know (particularly those in Manila) prefer socialization with Americans over Koreans. Though, a third of the reason for their preference has something to do with language barrier, and another third is the fact that, in recent years the Korean expats in the Philippines began outnumbering Americans, so happen to do dumb things more frequently as a whole and create more infamy. The other third will be that there are indeed many Koreans who still act like douchebags abroad and they don't know how to behave in a multicultural setting.

But as I understand, neither do Southeast Asians who can't speak English not experience significant problems fitting in an American society, so……. if there's a good reason why Filipinos think they are better treated in America than in Korea, as I've mentioned it is the lack of language barrier which make Americans take them more seriously. Korea too, is quite forgiving in its own right to foreigners who don't speak Korean. (if UK, Australia, Canada etc ever experienced so much influx of foreigners who can't speak English… such that non-English speaking expats began to heavily outnumber English speaking expats, we'll get to know better then what role language really plays in a society's acceptance of an alien).

Chickenhead is right, both Pinoy and Filipina are sock puppets. I checked the IP addresses and from what I found out from Filipina's IP address is that it is an IP address that has been used by both Tom and Teadrinker. :???:

So either Filipina, Tom, and Teadrinker are the same person or someone is posing as all three of them from that IP address.

Judging from where Tom just posted #20 from he could not be the same person leaving some comments at Tom/Teadrinker/Pinoy unless he took a plane to Canada shortly after leaving the Pinoy comment which was from the US. So that means Teadrinker may be posing as Tom or someone else entirely is leaving comments posing as both of them which I is what I think is happening. I am banning the US based IP address to hopefully put an end to this sock puppet.

GIKorea, some of these idiots have friends who post for them. Ran up against the same "issues" with a couple of obvious socks on Dave's ESL. They would post on the same threads, in total agreement, within a minute of each other, and the mods would say "They are posting from Korea and North America so they must be different people." Wanna know the names of the Dave's ESL posters? They post on many threads as M—– and T– U—– M—-. But you didn't hear that from me, after all, socks aren't allowed on these kinds of sites.
