  I admit I am slightly confused by the point this cartoon. Infidelity? Living it up while the troops fight and suffer? Lower-classness (education, language, taste)? Spherical heads?

  She does not look like a military wife in that picture. She is to skinny.

  During the 1991 Gulf war I was stationed at The Landstuhl Army Hospital which was right next to Kaiserlauten in Germany. I was a 91C (practical nurse) & I worked on the post-partum ward. There were quite a few times when the husband returned from SWA after 9 or 12 months that the wives were 6 or 7 months pregnant.
