Cars have begun clogging highways as many South Koreans head to their hometown for the Chuseok holidays.
An estimated 230-thousand cars on Monday left the capital region for provincial areas via major highways.
The Korea Expressway Corporation expects that the roads will be busiest between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
It is likely to take travelers who left Seoul at 5 pm about five hours and 50 minutes to get from Seoul to Busan.
Travel time is expected to be about two hours and 50 minutes from Seoul to Daejeon and four-and-a-half hours from Seoul to Gwangju. [KBS Global]
